June Spirer has been a clinical psychologist for over 25 years and holds a license to practice in New York, Florida and Colorado. She received her Doctor of Psychology degree from Yeshiva University with a specialty in child and adolescent psychological and educational testing. She went on to receive a certificate in both child/adolescent and adult Psychoanalysis and became a fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners. Recently she was approved by the Palm Beach Family court to be a Forensic Examiner which means that the court looks toward her expertise in assessing children and adolescents who are not performing to their potential.
What does all of this mean to you? Dr. June can help you find answers to:
- Is my child gifted?
- My child is doing drugs what do I do
- The Teacher says my child has ADHD what do I do
- Why is my child is behaving badly at home but is an angel in school
- Do I just have an average kid or is there a learning disability
- Why is my child getting good grades in school and messing up the FCATS
- We just got a divorce and my child blames me or my child will not talk to his dad/mom
- My child is in a special education program and they want him retested. Can you help me?
- I was told my child has a learning difference-I need an advocate with the school nothing is happening
- My child seems to need a special education program and the school is stalling me. Can you test my child?
Because the answers to these questions and a myriad of others is not simple Dr. June has devoted her practice to finding the answers that are most often revealed through a process of psychoeducational testing, school visits and observation, parent interviews, discussions with pediatricians and psychiatrists. Dr. June's job is to provide a comprehensive action plan. A plan that can be followed by mom and dad, the school and ultimately the child.
